For over 5 years, we have been serving the dogs and families of Rochester, New York. Our mission is to provide dog owners with the knowledge and skillset they need in order to live harmoniously with their furry family member. Whether you need obedience help with your new puppy or you are dealing with persistent problem behaviors like jumping, leash pulling or reactivity, we are here to help guide you. Here at Balanced k-9 we offer custom, private dog training for you and your dog in order to create a healthy, everlasting relationship.

Basic Obedience

Does your dog's wild behavior make walks a headache and playtime chaotic? Our Basic Obedience course can help. This beginner-friendly training gives owners the skills to master leash walking, sit, down, stay, leave it, focus, come and other commands essential for a well-behaved dog. In just 6 weeks, you'll establish yourself as the trusted leader your dog looks to for guidance.

The Essentials

This program is 8 weeks long & designed for those who have a good understanding of the basics/ fundamentals of dog training but are looking for more problem solving those undesired behaviors.

Included but not limited to:

Building/ perfecting basic obedience.

Generalizing known commands in real life scenarios.

Adapting to training in public settings.

Training tools & how to use them properly.

Problem solving behaviors like jumping, pulling, nipping, anxiety, household manners.

Behavior Modification

$2,000

Tired of your dog's anxious or reactive behavior ruining your daily life? It's time to turn the leash around with our expert Behavior Modification program. This 10-week training course targets your dog's specific issues like reactivity, fear, and low confidence.

Our compassionate trainers create an individualized plan to reshape your dog's problem behaviors for good & give you a better understanding of your dogs overall emotions. Leading you to better communication and a stronger relationship.

Touch ups

The dog training skills you've mastered are beginning to fade - get your pup back on track with Touch Ups!

  • 1-on-1 personalized training session tailored to your dog's unique needs
  • Revisit & reinforce previously learned commands and behaviors
  • Troubleshoot any problem areas that have popped up since initial training
  • Licensed, experienced trainer provides expert guidance and coaching

We make it very easy for you! All you have to do is go to our appointments page and select phone consultation. We will discuss everything you need to know about taking the next steps. You could also shoot us an email at thebalancedk9.ac@gmail.com with your information and why you are seeking training. From there we will get you started with a quick 5-10 minute phone consult where we will then schedule a time to meet in person for your in home behavioral consultation!

Each program has a short description of what you will learn. If you are still hesitant on which program is best for you, we will help guide you through the process during our in person consult!

We offer private, in-person dog training. Our sessions typically start in the comfort of your own home and as you and your dog progress, we can then expand our sessions to the real world. Parks, Pet stores, Lowes, Home Depot, Etc.
